About me ...
I am 28 years old, and Viennese by birth. In my working life, I focus on mathematics and software development.
During my holidays, I love to explore foreign (and, if possible, far away) countries. I have already spent my vacations on six different continents, and have also travelled all around the globe in a RTW trip.
Therefore, I will mainly blog about my travels.

December 26, 2007
Today, I am flying to Buenos Aires (via Madrid) for a four-weeks-long holiday in Argentina and Chile. I will spend most of my time in Patagonia. However, I will also visit Buenos Aires and the Iguazú waterfalls.
I will try to blog regularly (in German) about my experiences on this trip. If interested, please visit my German blog.
The World in 36 Pictures
December 23, 2007
Starting today, not only some diaries and photo albums on this website provide details about my travels in the recent past, but also a few Picasa web albums, for which I chose the common title "The World in 36 Pictures". The reason for choosing this title, and my motivation for this series to begin with, shall be explained briefly in the following.

November 17, 2007
In June 2007, I made my first visit to Ireland. Now I finally finished my travel diary (in German), providing more details about my two-weeks stay on the island.
- One week, I was touring the Western coast in the beautiful Irish countryside.
- The second week, I spent in and around Dublin, enjoying the rich culture of the island.
One day in Budapest
July 7, 2007
Two Hungarian friends of mine wanted me to come to Budapest with them for years. In early July 2007, I finally made it to Hungarian captial. Ironically, my friends did not have a lot of time during the weekend I spent there. Therefore, I explored Budapest mainly by myself.
The ASMC 2007 at Lago Maggiore
June 13, 2007
I spent the last week in Stresa on the shores of Lago Maggiore on occasion of the "Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Conference" (ASMC). Of these seven days, the first four were just leisure days (on my own expenses), During this time, I explored the region together with a colleague from the FH Steyr. Having enjoyed my stay very much, I can only recommend the Lago Maggiore as a holiday destination.
