About me ...

[Picture]

I am 28 years old, and Viennese by birth. In my working life, I focus on mathematics and software development.

During my holidays, I love to explore foreign (and, if possible, far away) countries. I have already spent my vacations on six different continents, and have also travelled all around the globe in a RTW trip.

Therefore, I will mainly blog about my travels.

Green Toronto

May 11, 2009

I think, I have to specify a bit more precisely my impression of Toronto. While I still think that the buildings of Downtown (seen from below) are not the main tourist attraction, I am very fond of the parks, the Waterfront and Toronto Island.

I already enjoyed the walk along the Waterfront (even though it would probably be even more enjoyable if there was not a six-lane street running directly along it). Finally, on my last day in the city, a bike trip to Toronto Island was a definite highlight: green trees and grass, surrounded by the waters of Lake Ontario.

Finally, I visited the observatory on the CN Tower. Looking down for the first time, I was amazed how green the city is. In almost every street, there are trees, which makes the city a really green city in some places – fantastic!
