The ASB Floridsdorf-Donaustadt provided a skeleton, which was named "Zivi 2000" and should represent the "famishment" of those fulfilling their alternative military service ("Zivildiener").

At the Department of the Interior we tried to obtain the Verpflegungsmodell für Zivildiener (catering proposal) promised by Secretary of the Interior Strasser. However, the Minister of the Interior did not see the delegacy of "Zivildiener". Some time later, such an proposal was presented, which was, however, rather useless (see "'Zivildienst' in Austria").

At the social welfare office we wanted to learn whether "Zivildiener" with their "salary" of nothing more than 3.648,– ATS (265,11 € / approx. 325,– US$) have the right to obtain any benefit payment as any recipient of benefit payment did receive about 5.100,– ATS (approx. 370,– € / approx. 455,– US$) at that time.
The town council of Vienna eventually granted all "Zivildiener" living in Vienna a benefit payment of 1052,– ATS (76,45 € / approx. 94,– US$) per month (starting from July 2000 until December 2000).
